Professional Skills Centre

The success of the GVP has been recognised by both the Local Authority and the DCSF. We have been approved as a "Gateway 2'' partnership which means that students from the local area will have access to the new Diploma qualification in Construction and the Built Environment from September 2009.

We have a strong commitment to learning for all and this has been recognised through a capital building project of over one million pounds. By September 2009, there will be a Gipping Valley Professional Skills Centre open from 9.00am to 9.00pm providing purpose-built Engineering and Construction workshops (including painting and decorating), dedicated teaching space for Society, Health and Development, an ICT suite and conference facilities. In conjunction with West Suffolk College, we will be providing a range of accredited courses for both school-age and adult learners, allowing many to develop new skills and interests.
